MSc - Lead Consultant
A former journalist, Crispin has held senior roles in consultancy and in-house. He was a director at Grayling, the second largest independent communications consultancy in the world, and head of media for the pharmaceutical industry trade body in the UK.
As a consultant, he has worked for organisations as diverse as the UK Atomic Energy Authority, Postcomm, HJ Heinz, the Government of Hong Kong, Mars, T-Mobile, Unilever, E.ON UK, Nationwide, Comic Relief, Sodexo and Dairy Crest.
He holds an MSc in Corporate Communication (passed with Distinction) and his specialities are reputation building, integrated communication, conversational marketing, cross-platform media relations, real-time PR and issues and crisis management.
Away from the office, Crispin can be found at Towcestrians Sports Club where he plays, coaches and referees rugby, chairs the mini and junior section and occasionally picks up a tennis racket. Crispin is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and lectures in public relations at the University of West London.
MA - consultant
Tanya has worked in communications all her professional life. She started her career as journalist before becoming a civil servant initially as press secretary to a Cabinet Minister and then as a senior press aide to Prime Minister Tony Blair. She left the civil service to join Grayling in 2003 where she was promoted to the executive board.
She has worked with a myriad of organisations: Mars; the Royal Mint; the Government of Guernsey; the Royal Bank of Canada; HJ Heinz; Fujitsu; National Grid; De Beers; BGB; Tesco; the Royal British Legion: the Department for Work and Pensions; the charity Scope; and the Government of Liberia.
Tanya is an expert in stakeholder management, government affairs, public relations and issues and crisis management.
Away from the office, she loves great shoes, dancing and Spurs.
MA - Consultant
Robert is a former journalist and was on the board at Grayling, where he ran teams in London and Bristol. He has spent 24 years helping organisations in the public sector, consumer and B2B markets optimise their communication campaigns, running programmes regionally, nationally and internationally.
His specialities include integrated communication, issues and crisis management, copywriting and content creation, including blogs, opinion pieces and speeches for board members of FTSE 100 businesses.
Recent clients include English Heritage, Cornwall Development Company, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, Deloitte, Odgers Berndtson and Cranfield School of Management.
Robert holds an MA in English from the University of Cambridge. Away from the office, he can be found writing stories, attempting a cryptic crossword or handling a pint of real ale . . . . or two.
Andy is a freelance journalist and editorial consultant who has edited a string of B2B titles, including PrintMedia Management and Brand Management magazines. He currently edits Print and Paper Monthly for Whitmar Publications.
A PR man turned editor, Andy marries the knowledge of both disciplines in order to produce stunning content for his clients, taking technically complex subjects and producing sharp, readable copy.
Andy’s specialities include editorial judgment, content strategy, content creation and curation, copywriting, analytics and cross-platform media relations. He holds a BA in Multi-Media Journalism from Bournemouth University.
Away from work, Andy writes, is a mad keen Spurs fan and loves watching England play cricket.
Liz is a former journalist and editor of a consumer lifestyle magazine. She moved into public relations in 2006 and produces content for organisations to connect with their audiences internally and externally.
She has written newsletters for companies like RS Components and AAH Pharmaceuticals, edits inward and outward facing publications for Marston’s, and helps Staples with store and brand PR.
Her specialities include internal communications, content creation, copywriting, cross-platform media relations and real-time PR. She holds a BA in English from the University of Leicester.
Out of the office, Liz loves art, is an avid reader and consumer of media, a keen runner and wannabe tri-athlete.
MBA - Consultant
Andy has spent the last 15 years as a market researcher, moderating thousands of focus groups and depth interviews for brands as diverse as Apple Computer, Audi, M&S and SAGA. As well as his expertise in qualitative research, he enjoys the challenge of the cross-tabulations in survey research and has a growing interest in online research.
A former advertising manager, he won awards for Lunn Poly’s celebrated “Getaway” campaign and in his agency life he worked at iconic agency Allen Brady & Marsh.
An Oxford MA, Andy holds an MBA from Warwick University. Away from the office, Andy is addicted to the complexities of Argentine Tango.
